I love putting up a wreath at Christmas time and I also love hanging up other holiday ones too. Have you ever wondered how it started? We got a permit to cut down a tree this year. It just made sense. With forest service land close by, and trees galore in our new PNW home, we were up for the adventure. And… part of the adventure was picking a tree that we thought was the right size, only to find that it was three feet too tall when we got home. Really, three feet!? We were so off! Ha! You might be thinking that you don’t see a lot of wreaths around here, and that’s because I haven’t made any! This is the first one, and I went with a classic. Boxwood wreaths are a holiday staple, but I wanted to give it a little twist while still keeping it really simple, so I created one in a diamond shape. looking way too bare. I made it with the leftover burlap from my table runner (plus a little more), and added a super simple paper-covered stick star. My homemade holiday decor is just about done! This wreath didn't take me that long, I just took my time getting it done (amidst all the other holiday decorating, baking, etc.). But I love how it turned out!
