Herschey's Kisses Were First Introduced In 1907 And Can You Imagine They Were Wrapped By Hand And The Automated Wrapping Machinery Wasnt Introduced Until 1921. For Decades The Original Silver Foil Wrapping Was The Only Color Available. In 1962 Hershey Because The First Company To Introduce Seasonal Color Foil Wrappers Like Green And Red To Coincide With The Christmas Season. In 1968 pastel colors like green, pink and blue wrappers were introdude for Easter. In 1986 Valentine's Day Wrappers Of Red And Silver Were Introduced As Well As Little Red Hearts On The Silver Wrappers And With Other Seasons And Holidays The Wrappers Only Got More Colorful.

Christmas Frosted Sugar Cookie Blossoms 

Ingredients
1..36  HERSHEY’S KISSES Brand Sugar Cookie Candies 
2..1 pkg Sugar Cookie mix. Flour, butter and egg called for on Sugar Cookie mix package for cut-out cookies (496 g) 
3..2/3 cup Green or red decorating sugar for rolling (150 mL)


Directions
1..Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove wrappers from candies; set aside. 
2..Mix cookie dough following package directions for cut-out cookies. Shape dough into 1-1/4” (3 cm) balls. Roll in green or red decorating sugar. Place balls about 2” (5 cm) apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
3..Bake 8-10 minutes or until cookie edges are set (do not overbake). Remove from oven; cool 2 minutes. Press candy piece into center of each cookie. Transfer from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 36 cookies.
 
PS Here Are 2 Basic Sugar Cookie Recipes (an easy and a really easy)  If You Dont Want To Use Package Cookie Mix:
 
7 Ingredient Basic Sugar Cookie Mix
Ingredient
1..2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
2..1 teaspoon baking soda
3..½ teaspoon baking powder
4..1 cup butter, softened
5..1 ½ cups white sugar
6..1 egg
7..1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions
1..Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
2..In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3..Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.
 
3 Ingredient Basic Sugar Cookie Mix
Ingredients
1..1 stick plus 2 tbsp. salted butter, softened
2..1/3 c. granulated sugar
3,,1 c. all-purpose flour

Directions
1..Preheat oven to 325°. In a large bowl using a hand mixer, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, then stir in flour.
2..Form the cookies into 1" balls, placing them about 2 inches apart on a baking sheet. If using sprinkles, flatten cookies into a disc shape and top with sprinkles.
3..Bake for 15 to 17 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden.

Why Do Dogs Love Us And Many Other Dog Facts Plus 4 Dog Treat Recipes

The hormone oxytocin is released in humans and in dogs when we interact or have contact with someone we like. This 'love hormone' helps cement and increase the bond both humans and dogs share :)

Dogs have a sense of time and they know the difference between a hour and 5 and they get so conditioned they can predict future events, such as regular walk times. So if you come home the same time every day and even if you sneak in your house your dog is in the same spot waiting for you it's because they have the sense of time and it is not dog voodoo :)

Have you ever wondered why children around the age of 2 get along so well with dogs it's because dogs are as smart as 2-year-olds and they speak the same language, roughly 250 words and gestures :)

Dogs feel jealousy when you show affection for another creature. We've all had a dog that never liked our significant other or when we patted the cat :)

Your dog can smell your feelings. In fact, your dog’s sense of smell is approximately 100,000 times better than yours. So it shouldn’t be shocking that they can in fact, smell things such as fear. When a human is fearful, they perspire, and a dog is easily able to pick up on this change :)

Have you ever noticed when you're sitting on the couch and your dog is beside you and you're petting them and you feel calm and relaxed it's because petting a dog can actually benefit your physical and mental health. Studies have shown that petting a dog for 15 minutes can lower blood pressure by 10%, can help lower feelings of stress, depression, and combat loneliness :)

If your dog experiences separation anxiety try leaving some clothes with him that you've worn. It has been proven that the sent you leave behind on your clothes can help ease your dog's separation anxiety :)

Chocolate can be very deadly to dogs due to containing the ingredient, theobromine. Dogs cannot metabolize theobromine and ingesting chocolate could cause a severely toxic buildup in their system which could become fatal :(

If you have allergies and you want a dog get a Maltese dog because they do not shed :)

A vast majority of strays that end up in shelters are pets who are lost simply because they don't have any identification. Fourth of July is the busiest time for animal shelters as most pets get lost during that holiday due to being scared of loud fireworks and running away. My poor dog would shake and cry when the fireworks went off :(

Who Invented The Chocolate Chip Cookie And 2 Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipes

Do you have ever wonder who invented chocolate chip cookies? Well it was a chef named Ruth Graves Wakefield and she invented them in 1938 when she owned the Toll House Inn (yes the chocolate chips were named after her inn) located in Whitman, Massachusetts. The Toll House Inn was a very popular restaurant and it featured home cooking. It is often reported Ruth invented the cookies by accident hoping the chocolate would melt so she can make regular plain old chocolate cookies. In fact she invented the chocolate chip cookie by adding chocolate chips to the cookie batter. She said her restaurant was serving a thin butterscotch nut cookie with ice cream and everybody seemed to love it but she was trying to give them something different so she came up with the chocolate chip cookie recipe. All she did was add chopped up bits from Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate bar into the cookie mix. The original is called "Toll House Chocolate Crunch Cookies". Miss Ruth gave Nestle the recipe for her cookies and was paid with a lifetime supply of chocolate from the company. Don't seem right does it?


Ruth Wakefield's cookbook, Toll House Tried and True Recipes published in 1936 featured the "Toll House Chocolate Crunch Cookie" recipe which rapidly became a favourite cookie in American homes. During WWII, soldiers from Massachusetts who were stationed overseas shared the cookies they received in care packages from back home with soldiers from other parts of the United States. Soon hundreds of soldiers were writing home asking their families to send them some Toll House cookies. The company Maryland Cookies brought the recipe to the UK in 1956 and it became one of the UK's best selling chocolate chip cookies.

Original Toll House Chocolate Crunch Cookie Recipe

INGREDIENTS
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda I
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups (12-ounce package) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 cup chopped nuts

PREHEAT oven to 375° F.

COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

PAN COOKIE VARIATION: Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan. Prepare dough as above. Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack. Makes 4 dozen bars.

SLICE AND BAKE COOKIE VARIATION:

PREPARE dough as above. Divide in half; wrap in waxed paper. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm. Shape each half into 15-inch log; wrap in wax paper. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.* Preheat oven to 375° F. Cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices; place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

Now if you're busy and you have no time to make those cookies there is an easy alternative chocolate chip cookie recipe. it's technically a food hack and it's called 'chocolate chip cookies from a cake mix'. They're not as delicious as the Toll House ones but they are good and if you're in a pinch for time hey a chocolate chip cookie is a chocolate chip cookie :-).

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE RECIPE FROM A CAKE MIX

INGREDIENTS
1 package yellow cake mix
1 cup chocolate chips (175 g)
½ cup oil (120 mL)
2 eggs

DIRECTIONS
Combine cake mix, chocolate chips, oil, and eggs in a mixing bowl.
Using an ice cream scoop or your hand, form golf ball-sized balls of cookie dough and transfer to a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 10-12 minutes.
